More robbery charges for Belize City youth

Last week we reported on eighteen year old Kareem Smith being charged with a slew of robberies. Well, he now has one more to add to that list. Smith appeared in Magistrate’s Court on Thursday where he was arraigned for robbery. The new charge arose out of an incident on September eighth in which Tyrone Gentle reported to police that around seven that night he was riding his bike near Western Avenue and Electric Avenue when he was approached by a man. The men placed a gun to the right side of Gentle’s head and ordered him to get off his bike. But before riding off, the jacker also relieved Gentle of forty dollars. Smith pleaded not guilty to the robbery and was remanded to prison until December sixteenth.
