Man sentenced to 6 years in jail for sex with teen

A man was sentenced today in the Supreme Court for the unlawful carnal knowledge of a fourteen year old minor. Justice Adolph Lucas told Jaime Moreno that he was tempted to give him a very stiff sentence because the child’s aunt had told him to leave the girl alone due to her age. But since Moreno had no previous convictions he was going to give him six years in jail. The incident was reported in June of 2004 by the teen’s aunt who told police she had employed some men to fix her roof. She said that Moreno knocked on the door one day when the girl was home alone and she allowed him in and they had sexual intercourse. The minor later reported the incident to her parents.
