Raphael Martinez, Police Press Officer
“At about twelve-forty-five p.m., we had three make persons that went to number thirty-four Freetown Road, Marlboro Shop, owned by of course Belizean-Chinese business persons and they were held at gunpoint and robbed of electronic items and cash of over six thousand dollars and of course the guys all took off and the police have not gotten any one of them. We have not detained anybody, but we are following several leads regarding this robbery. Based on that information, I just want to share that it seems there is a trend especially around this time that businesses are being robbed. Again, we want to appeal to business owners; if you don’t have the DVRs and the security cameras, please ensure that you take some adequate security measures to protest your business. It seems that we do have some culprits who are lurking, casing business areas with the intension of making easy money. So please remember as we always say safety begins with you.”
