Baby returns home following surgery in Tampa
Another Belizean has returned home from life saving surgery abroad. Nine month old Denfield Anderson, who was born with a hole in his heart, underwent an operation at St. Joseph Children’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida, on October twenty-first. The surgery was a success and doctors say they expect the child to make a full recovery. Enelida Baldwin says she is just happy to see her baby boy so active and gaining weight. Baldwin also took time out to thank all those people who made it possible for her son to be alive.
Enelida Baldwin, Denfield?s Mother
?Much better than before. I am happy because he got through that and I can expect him to grow up and not have that to worry about.?
?I was nervous at the first, but they told me to have confidence and just be calm cause everything will be okay. And the truth is everything was okay.?
?I would like to say thanks to all those who helped us and Ms. Yvette Burks, we would like to thank you and God Bless.?
During Anderson’s stay in the hospital it was discovered that the baby has fibroids in his throat, but with medication over a period of time that problem is expected to be corrected.
