Cop & Girlfriend Arraigned for Stolen Jewellery
A third cop and his girlfriend were arraigned but were able to get bail today. Police officer Jamille Scott is accused of stealing jewelry and other items from the house of Randolph Gentle. He was arraigned before Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith for two counts of Theft for stealing a black hand-held radio valued at sixty hundred and fifty dollars and a watch. He pleaded not guilty to these two charges. His girlfriend, Jellsi Zapeta, was charged with two counts of handling stolen goods in respect of the hand held radio and jewelry Scott is accused of stealing. Police say they found the stolen items on her on Wednesday. Both got bail but will have to report to the police station twice a week and surrender their passports until their case is disposed of. The couple will return to court in November.
