Teakettle man loses his left hand in a chopping incident
There was more violence over the weekend. A vicious chopping incident in Teakettle Village on Saturday evening has left one man short of a left hand. Twenty-four-year-old Aldo Moro was at J&J’s Store when he was accosted by someone he knew. According to Moro, he was returning to his vehicle when Shaylon Santos, also known as Barbecue Monkey, assailed him with a machete. During the violent attack, Moro’s left hand was completely severed at the wrist. He was also chopped once to the left side of the head. Despite his injuries, Moro managed to enter the vehicle and drove to his sibling’s house before being rushed to the Western Regional Hospital. While it is uncertain what motivated the savage episode, police were later able to recover the missing extremity. Santos, however, remains on the lam.
