Shipyard forged cheque surfaces in Belize City

Police are urging business establishments to be on the lookout for an individual who has already forged and cashed one cheque and has three more in his possession. A man identifying himself as Michael Robert Brown cashed a cheque for five hundred and forty dollars at J.L.’s Quick Loan earlier this week and it is believed the cheque leaf was stolen from Johan Blatz of Shipyard. The signature on the cheque was that of Abram Wall, but Wall says he never made out a cheque to anyone named Brown. The cheques were taken from an Atlantic bank chequebook. Police say they are seeking a resident of Faber’s Road for questioning.
