Belize City Man Jacked…Escaped Death

A Belize City man is lucky to be alive after he was accosted by two armed men. Sometime after ten on Monday night, thirty-six year old Jermaine Ottley arrived at his house at the corner of Allenby and Amara Street. As he exited his car, he was ambushed by two armed men who proceeded to rob him of his cell phone and two hundred dollars in cash. But before his assailants fled the scene, two shots were fired in his direction. Fortunately for Ottley, he was not injured. No expended shells have been found and police continue to investigate.
