Former employee arrested for store robbery

Police have made another arrest following a burglary at a shop on King Street in Belize City. Seventeen year old Germaine Gomez appeared in Magistrate Court on Thursday where he was charged with the burglary for the October twenty-fourth incident at Rekha’s Store. Police received a call early that morning that a burglary was in progress and when they arrived at the scene discovered clothing in a bag in a pickup truck. The two men inside were Kevin Myvette and Francisco Santos. Myvette has been charged with burglary and handling stolen goods, while Santos was charged with handling stolen goods. Germaine Gomez is a former employee of the store. The men are accused of stealing over fifteen thousand dollars in merchandise.
