Man finally charged for September stabbing
A youth who described himself as a “break dance instructor” has been charged with dangerous harm, use of deadly means of harm, and robbery following a fight between two men on Freetown Road in Belize City during the September Celebrations. However, when asked by Magistrate Harry Hewlett what the fight was about, Demetrious Martinez said a “She-Male.” The Magistrate asked him to clarify and Martinez then altered his comment to “Female.” He was remanded to custody until Monday when the trial resumes. While the incident occurred on September nineteenth, Martinez was only located this week. He is accused of stabbing Dario Melendez, sending him to the hospital in a serious condition.
