Four injured in W. Highway mishap
A traffic accident on the Western Highway on Sunday night has left four persons in the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. According to Cayo police, initial investigations reveal that around eight p.m. forty six year old Dennis Murray was driving a bus transporting football players from a game in San Ignacio back to their home base in Dangriga. When he slowed down to cross a speed bump near Central Farm, a pickup truck crashed into the rear of the bigger vehicle. As a result, four of the eight persons who were travelling in the pickup received serious injuries and were taken to the K.H.M.H. The driver of the pickup, Alfredo Aldana, was transported to Loma Luz Hospital, but apparently is not cooperating with police. Authorities say their investigation continues and they are awaiting Aldana’s release from the hospital.
