O.W. woman killed in road accident
A young woman from Orange Walk was killed on Saturday when her vehicle rolled over on the road near Flower’s Bank Village. Nineteen year old Reina Mendoza was driving her Honda Accord from Burrell Boom towards Bermudian Landing when a dump truck driven by Kirk Bood tried to overtake her car, but touched the bumper. The impact sent her vehicle careening out of control and it flipped numerous times. She was rushed to the K.H.M.H. but died en route. Her passenger, twenty-four year old Phillip Garbutt, received minor injuries. Bood was detained pending charges.
