Paul Nabor In Concert Revisited

The National Institute of Culture and History, NICH, has released information on the upcoming events which will culminate on Saturday with the funeral of Paranda legend Paul Nabor in Punta Gorda Town.  Activities are set to commence on Friday afternoon at two o’clock with a procession from the morgue at the PG Hospital to his residence on Lilly Street.  Then at six o’clock, the Garifuna Collective will host a massive tribute concert to the Belizean icon which we will carry live from the Punta Gorda Sporting Complex. On the day of Nabor’s official funeral, his body will lie in state for viewing at ten a.m., followed by a Mass of Thanksgiving at eleven.  A procession is scheduled to leave St. Peter Claver Church at twelve-thirty p.m. for interment at the Punta Gorda Cemetery.  Tonight, we went through our archives and have put together a piece on two memorable occasions with Nabor.
