Death of O.W. teen: murder, suicide or accident?
A young man’s death in Orange Walk has police looking hard for an explanation. The body of eighteen year old Shawn Cal was found hanging from a mango tree on Monday morning in a yard off the San Estevan Road. Reports indicate that Cal and several friends had been drinking heavily into the night on Sunday but it is not clear whether Cal’s untimely demise was the result of his own hand, foul play, or even an accident. The post-mortem concluded that the death was caused by asphyxia due to strangulation. Police have been questioning the decease’s drinking partners.
