John Saldivar lashes out at the P.U.P.
Minister of National Security John Saldivar toed the party line today, claiming that because of the Petrocaribe monies, Belmopan has benefitted tremendously.
John Saldivar, Area Rep., Belmopan
“What you did between 1998 and 2008 is still relevant today because it is the same people that you are trying to recycle and bring back to government. It was one of their mayoral candidates, Mister Speaker, I think a few years ago who said, “Old P.U.P., new P.U.P.; same P.U.P.” There was another one that said P.U.P. noh got no change fi change. In fact, it was amusing to me today while the defacto leader was giving his speech, I saw the leader—I guess they give ahn emeritus status already by now—the former leader tugging his shirt and bending over and giving him tips as to what to say. It is obvious to the people of Belize that Said Musa and Ralph Fonseca still run the People’s United Party. They still run the People’s United Party and so they are going to bring back their same ways. In fact, they are going to bring back their same thieving ways, Mister Speaker. I have no doubt at all about that.”
