Biggest session ever for Supreme Court
The Supreme Court session that begins on Monday will be its busiest in memory. So far the court has already listed sixty criminal matters for trial in the October sitting and is still accepting cases. Among the numerous murders, armed robberies, sexual assaults and other crimes, two stand out. One is the trial of Jermaine Pascasio, who is accused of the murder of shopkeeper Inez “Blankie” Leal, which occurred on September second, 2004. The court is also expected to hear the attempted murder case against Aniver Palacio and others for the shooting of businessman Philip Gallaty on April twenty-seventh, 2004 in Ladyville.
