I.D. needed for accident victim and driver

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying both the victim and the driver responsible for a hit and run on Wednesday night. Police say a man was knocked down by a white pickup truck around nine p.m., while walking between miles three and four on the Northern Highway. He was transported in an unconscious state to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he remains unidentified and in a coma. Anyone who can assist in identifying the victim, described as being of Creole descent, is asked to visit the K.H.M.H.
