GSU Takes Guns and Drugs off City Streets
Two firearms and live rounds were found in gang territory over the weekend by the Gang Suppression Unit. The GSU moved in on Flamboyant Street, Belize City, where in a lot with overgrown bushes they found two M-sixteen rifles and sixty rounds of ammunition in a plastic bag and wrapped in a shirt. The firearm and ammo are believed to belong to the PIV gang. And on Wednesday of last week, at around five pm, the GSU searched a small plywood house located on Conch Shell Bay area. There, the unit found two black plastic bags with four point one pounds of cannabis. No one was in the area but it is believed that the drugs belonged to a peddler who lives nearby.
