Bowen & Bowen employees held at gun point
With Christmas just three weeks away, robberies and burglaries are likely to peak. On Monday around mid afternoon, a thirty-six year-old driver for Bowen and Bowen and two of his co-workers were held at gunpoint and robbed. The Bowen employees were on a delivery run at the store of a Chinese businessman in Cotton Tree Village, Cayo, when they were pounced upon by two men. The employees were made to lie on the floor and one of the assailants held them at gunpoint with a firearm resembling a nine millimetre pistol. The other robber, the driver claims, searched him and took three hundred and fifty dollars in cash belonging to Bowen and Bowen and his cell phone. The driver’s co-workers were similarly robbed of cash and cell phones. The brazen thieves also stole two thousand dollars from the Chinese businessman as well as his cell phone. From his wife, they took her bag which contained her personal belongings. All in all, the robbery yielded the thieves with more than three thousand dollars in cash and goods.
