Randy Dominguez Remanded for Sexual Assault of Minor

Randy Dominguez

A boat attendant was this evening remanded to the Belize Central Prison on a heinous sexual assault charge for fondling a seven year old child in the village of Biscayne on two separate occasions.  The news is disturbing because the accused person is an adult who befriended the family and molested the child when the child visited the village with her mother and siblings. This afternoon, twenty-four year old Randy Dion Dominguez was arraigned on two counts of sexual assault.  The first incident reportedly occurred on June seventh and the other as recent as November twenty-ninth.  The child claims that when she, her mother and brother visited Dominguez’s home, she was left at the house with a cousin, and that’s when he touched her inappropriately on her private parts.  The child further told police that on June seventh, 2014, Dominguez took her into a room and fondled her private parts.  In court, Dominguez pleaded not guilty to both charges.  Prosecutor in the case, Cl. Noel Muschamp objected to bail on the grounds that there is a possibility that if Dominguez is granted bail, he will interfere with the prosecution witnesses.   With that, Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith denied bail to Dominguez and remanded him into custody at the Belize Central Prison until February fourth, 2015.
