Expo Belize even bigger this year
With eighty-nine companies participating in the ninth annual EXPO Belize, this year’s trade show is expected to draw thousands of visitors looking for a bargain to the Saint John’s College gymnasium. According to organisers at the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry, more than one hundred and twenty booths will be displaying the best in goods and services available in the country. But as B.C.C.I.’s Sybil Eiley explains, the event will also give Guatemalan business counterparts the chance to establish ties with local producers.
Sybil Eiley, Organiser, B.C.C.I. Expo 2005
“It’s a perfect opportunity for our members and other participants to come out and showcase what they have to offer, all in one place.”
Janelle Chanona
“We understand a Guatemalan delegation will also be a part of this year’s show, tell us about that.”
Sybil Eiley
“We had a trade mission that came in from Guatemala and it’s basically for them to do business relations with businesses here to get a better connection between Belize and Guatemala.”
“I want to invite the general public to come out at this two day event. We are going to have fun, come out and see what our businesses have to offer, we are going to have lovely entertainment, and I’m pretty sure that businesses will be giving the public a good offer this weekend.”
Entrance to the expo is three dollars for adults, one dollar for kids.
