Epileptic Patient Arraigned for Mahogany Heights Shooting
An epileptic of Mahogany Heights has been charged for the late-evening shooting of Joel Seawell. Twenty-six year old Erwin Ramsey was arraigned late Monday evening for attempted murder, dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm upon Sewell. When he appeared in court, his attorney, Audrey Matura-Shepherd placed on record that his client has an alibi and that the police have the wrong man in custody. Matura/Shepherd also told the court that his client is an epileptc patient who needs his medication and claimed that an identification parade was not conducted in police investigation. Magistrate Herbert Panton took no plea from Ramsey and due to the nature o the offenses, he was denied bail and remanded to the Belize Central Prison until January thirtieth, 2015. The victim, Seawell, remains hospitalized in a critical condition at the K.H.M.H.
