Hattieville Resident Charged for Drug Trafficking
A Hattieville resident was not at his house at mile seventeen and a half on the George Price Highway when it was searched by the Gang Suppression Unit. The unit claims it found ten pounds of weed for which thirty-three year old Wallace Rubio was today fined ten thousand dollars for the offense of drug trafficking. Rubio’s trial was set to commence this morning, but before it could fully get underway, he changed his not guilty plea to guilty and threw himself to the mercy of the court. The first time offender was lucky to be spared from confinement; he was ordered to pay the fine by March thirty-first, 2015 or in default, he must spend three years behind bars. Police corporal George Ferguson and other officers of the GSU team executed a search warrant at Wallace’s small plycem house; and they found a barrel containing the four point five kilos of weed.
