Meighan Gets Bail for “Zimbab” Shooting
Well-known street figure, Ellis Meighan, who was charged with the attempted murder of Carlos “Zimbab” Abraham, a George Street boss, appeared before Justice Antoinette Moore today. Meighan went to the Supreme Court to apply for bail and it was granted. But after he had secured bail, it was disclosed to the judge that the police file on the investigation of the mid-November shooting of Abraham, shows no evidence against Meighan. Abraham was shot on Lakeview Street which is considered Ghost Town territory. “Zimbab” was hit on the neck and arm as he sat inside his vehicle that was parked in front of a tire shop. Meighan and a minor were charged Attempted Murder, Dangerous Harm and Use of Deadly Means of Harm with the Use of a Deadly Weapon, being a firearm.
