Roy Bennett Off to Prison for Weed Possession
Twenty-seven-year-old Roy Bennett has been convicted of possession of a controlled drug after pleading guilty to possession of point nine grams of marijuana. With less than two days away from Christmas, Bennett, the father of a three-month-old baby girl will spend the holidays, as well as the next nine months in prison. On Monday, two Bennett brothers, identified as Roy and Ryan Felix, along with Roy’s girlfriend, Alva Moody and their cousin, well-known and infamous street figure, thirty-year-old Maurice Felix, were all charged jointly with a single count of possession of a control drug. They also appeared before Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser where they were arraigned for the offense. Roy, the younger of the two siblings, wasted no time and pleaded guilty. Unfortunately, he picked up his sixth conviction for drug possession and Magistrate Fraser was concerned with Bennett’s record which showed that all his convictions are for possession of a controlled drug and that a fine this time around would make no sense in his case.
