Burglar caught after 911 call

While public perception is that a great many burglars get away and the stolen property is never recovered, today one member of the public did his or her part to ensure a thief was caught red-handed BEFORE he got anything. Police say a call to 911 alerted them to a break-in at a house on G Street in Kings Park. A patrol was immediately dispatched and the culprit was found, still inside the building. Homeowner, Orlando Michael, discovered that while his house had been ransacked, none of his belongings had been taken. However, when police searched the burglar’s residence they found items believe to have been stolen from someone else, namely an HP Laptop, two Siemens cell phones, assorted DVD’s, and a camera.
