Morgan Heritage brings back love this weekend

Story PictureShortly before two this afternoon, reggae group sensation, Morgan Heritage and its fourteen member entourage touched down in the jewel for a second time this year. And this time around the threat of the influenza A H1N1 will not stop this reggae band. News Five caught up with the artists at the Radisson who say that their music is inspired by God and life and filled with roots, rock and hip-hop. Brother and sister, Una and Lukes of the group told us what is in store for their fans this Saturday at the City Center.

“You’re gonna get what Morgan Heritage represent. You’re gonna get spiritual upliftment, conscious upliftment and you’re gonna have a good time. You’re gonna get all of the old and the new hits and you know we are just rockers every time.”

“Same thing I mean its good to be back in Belize, we love Belize, we glad to be back home with the Belizean family and getting ready to have a good time—sing along with us, dance with us—you know Morgan Heritage style. Reggae music filled with roots, filled with rock, filled with hip-hop, just musical fun, music for upliftment, music to make you think, music to make you smile. Morgan Heritage is roots, rock, and reggae. Love, laugh, sing, sometimes you might even cry because the words them a touch you, you know. But it’s just a night filled with music love and enjoyment.”

Opening for the Jamaican artists are local talents: Reecie Pollard, Geo and Tanya Carter. Tickets are available at various ticket outlets for fifty dollars in advance and sixty at the door.
