Ryon King – Not Guilty of Arson
A jury found thirty-six year old Ryon King not guilty of arson this afternoon. Back in February 2010, King’s then common-law wife Kendra Pennil accused him of setting her mattress and other bedding on fire. This morning, the evidence of the case against King concluded in the Supreme Court. In the trial, Pennill testified that prior to 2010, she and King were in a rocky common law relationship and when she put him out of the house, King went to the Mahogany Heights home and set the fire. Pennil claimed that she tried to put out the blaze and sustained burns to the wrist and head when King held her back. In his defense, King denied that he went to the house with the intent to cause bodily harm. King was represented by attorney, Arthur Saldivar. Prosecutor in the case was Shanice L. Lovell of the DPP’s office.
