Belmopan Police One Step Closer to Solving Emerson Daly’s Murder
Belmopan police also believe that they are wrapping up the investigation into the murder of Roaring Creek resident, Emerson Daly. The twenty-four year old was reported missing on Monday, January nineteen. His partially nude and decomposed body was pulled out from the river behind Banana Bank in the Cow Run area two days later, on January twenty-first. Several persons were detained at the onset of the investigation and released. But today, a minor was detained by Belmopan Police following new leads in the investigation. While the direct motive behind the homicide is still unclear, Police say they are closer to solving the case.
Supt. Howell Gillett, O.C., Belmopan Police Formation
“The other murder is with Mister Emerson Daly…if my memory serves me right. That investigation as we speak, we now have a new person in custody and we move on from there for that investigation. A new set of information was learnt recently with Mister Daly’s murder and we are much closer than how we were a couple weeks ago.”
Word to News Five is that charges are expected by Thursday of this week against the minor.
