Chebat on the Campaign Trail in Cayo

Today, we spoke to Chebat as he prepared to head into the division to campaign. To the casual observer that might seem a little premature, since general elections are likely some ways off. But he has a plan, and that plan involves hitting the ground now.

“I have been to many homes, visited with many families since I have been endorsed and the reception has been excellent. People have opened their homes to me. People have invited me to come into their homes. I have gotten calls from people from families requesting for me to come and see them. And so it’s very encouraging. I am not jumping the gun here. I am fully aware of the work that has to be done, and this is why I am starting now. Our strategy in the Cayo North area is to try and meet every single voter and to try to have a relationship with every single voter. I think as an attorney what I bring to the people of Cayo North is my advocacy. I think for a long time we have had representatives in the area who have not advocated for change, and for real development for Cayo North. I think that is my strongest point and that is what I bring to Cayo North…advocacy.”
