Officer helps obtain new bikes for cops
Assistant Superintendent of Police Edward Broaster is a cop well known as an aggressive crime buster, not to mention budding poet. Well, as of tonight, he wears a third cap: that of philanthropist. Broaster earned that title by returning from Los Angeles, California, with a shipment of fifteen new bikes for the Police Department’s new bicycle patrol. It seems that during his recent trip to L.A. he met with the Belizean owners of a screen printing company, Shock Wave Creations, who offered to donate double the number of bikes that Broaster himself would purchase. The officer, never one to miss an opportunity, bought five and the printers were thus obliged to come up with ten. They were presented to the department today.
