Jaime Chavarria Shot on West Canal

At around midnight on Saturday, an attempt was made on the life of twenty-six-year-old Jaime Emmanuel Chavarria.  Just outside his house on West Canal, Chavarria had just exited his vehicle, when a man, who came from the direction of Rocky Road, fired several shots. Chavarria was hit twice. Neighbors say they heard at least seven shots ring out, and it wasn’t until Chavarria’s girlfriend, who was upstairs, started shouting that the man retreated and made good his escape.

“Chavarria received a gunshot injury to the chest. He is admitted at the K.H.M.H. and again we have no one detained for that shooting.”

Chavarria is in the K.H.M.H. in a stable condition.
