New Punta Rock CD released

They are among the most popular performers in the highly competitive world of Punta Rock… and tonight they’re releasing a new C.D.

Keep It Alive is the latest release from Lloyd and Reckless, former members of the Punta Rebels band. It took these two dynamic Punta Rockers six months to put together a collection of fourteen songs.

?But most of the songs are like songs that we wrote years ago like two years ago, so we just combined all the work together and finally put it to good use.?

?This latest release, it?s all about our culture, keeping our culture alive, our music, you know. Whatever has to do with Belizean music on a whole we just try to keep it alive, especially the Punta Rock music.?

?And you have certainly been keeping your productions alive; this is your third release. What has the response been like from the general public??

?Well so far, the people they look forward to something new from us, so that is all we have to give them.?

Felix Flores, whose stage name is Reckless, says he is pleased with the latest CD, especially since the entire album chronicles his musical accomplishments in singing and drumming since he started playing in primary school.

Tonight the CD will officially be launched at La Runi Hati situated on Rivas Estate in Dangriga. On Saturday night Lloyd and Reckless will also be in concert at the Belize City Centre. Meanwhile, “Keep It Alive” is available at all record shops for twenty dollars.
