Price of butane goes up by five dollars

If you bought butane gas today from the delivery trucks or the depot, you already felt the pinch. But if you haven’t, you should know that government has approved a five dollar hike in the price of a hundred pound cylinder of the cooking gas. The Belize and Corozal Districts have seen an increase from ninety-three to ninety-eight dollars, while in Orange Walk the price is now ninety-nine dollars per hundred pound cylinder. All other districts are now paying three digit figures with Belmopan and San Ignacio residents paying a hundred dollars flat and in Benque it’s a hundred and one. The south continues to pay the highest for butane with the price sitting at a hundred and two dollars in Dangriga and a hundred and three in Punta Gorda.
