Gunplay in Ladyville Leaves Resident Critical

A resident of Vista Del Mar, Ladyville is tonight at the K.H.M.H. in a critical condition following an attempted murder in the village just before ten on Thursday night. Three bullets unleashed by a duo hit Kenroy Arnold, who was hanging out with friends. While the motive for the shooting remains unknown, Arnold has had many run-ins with the law. Duane Moody reports.

Duane Moody, Reporting

Twenty-nine year old Kenroy Arnold was socializing with friends in a yard on Woodpecker Street in Ladyville when a vehicle with two men drove up; one got out with a gun and fired several shots at the gathering. Arnold was shot three times…to twice to the back and once to his right hand. The incident occurred around nine-thirty p.m. on Thursday.

Insp. Frederick Gordon, Rural Executive Officer, Police Department

“Sometime about nine-thirty last night, Ladyville police received information of a shooting at the corner of Woodpecker Street and Perez Road. The police proceeded to the area whereby the person was transported to the B.D.F. clinic where we learned his name to be Kenroy Arnold. Police visited the area and he was observed with gunshot wounds to the back—three different wounds: one to the upper back, the lower back and the right arm.”

From the B.D.F. Hospital, Arnold was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in a critical, but stable condition.
