Miracle Foundation Launches With a Bang

A Thousand Smiles for Cleyon…the foundation was created back in November of last year. It all started with a little boy named Cleyon Marage, who is suffering from Acute Myeloid Leukemia, and was in desperate need of financing to travel to Merida to obtain life-saving treatment. Since then, the foundation has taken on six other children afflicted with cancer. It is a group of women along with several persons from the business community have been coming together to raise funds to assist these young cancer patients. But with added children, there is need for increased financing and on Sunday at the Bliss Center for the Performing Arts, the foundation is putting off a massive fundraising event. It’s a first of its kind show for children that will feature performances from Disney Super Stars out of Mexico. Founder, Michelle Rudon, told us more.

“We are having a big show to launch our foundation. We are doing it with a bang. It is going to be at the Bliss on Sunday, the twenty-ninth; it starts at five-thirty sharp. It is going to be a first of its kind in Belize because we are bringing in all the Disney Super Heroes. We have Peppa Pig, we have Caillou, we have Captain America, the characters from Frozen, we have Mini Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Daffy Duck…the full works. They will be performing, they’ll be singing, dancing, interacting with the kids in the audience. We have two hundred prizes that will be given to the kids in the audience throughout the show. And we also have a new raffle coming up where a lucky boy or girl will have the opportunity to win a birthday party complete with bags, decorations, balloons, the full works for sixteen of his or her little friends. So it is going to be a big show on Sunday and we want to ask everyone to come out. It is an excellent cause. Our team has been working nonstop – marketing, promoting, getting companies involved. We have a long list of sponsors and we are very appreciative of all the support that we’ve been shown. The business community has really stepped up and a lot of individuals have also stepped up to assist us to achieve what we are looking to achieve.”
