Sister says shooting victim was not buying drugs
Today the family of Trevor Smith stopped by our studios to categorically deny that their brother was killed because of robbery or drugs. Smith’s sister, Stacey Martinez says while she does not know why her brother was killed, she is trying to find out why anyone would want him dead.
Stacey Martinez, Sister of the Deceased
?In the event that you weren?t able to get in contact with us, you got in contact with sources with that very negative and wrong information you aired. My brother recently purchased a car, he did not sell any car and he was not in the intention to purchase any drugs with that money he got, you know that wrong statement.?
?He bought a car; he had purchased food which was there on the site the night that I went there. Please can everybody refrain from saying anything negative in that way. Because I mean let?s not pass about what actually happened, he was murdered, he did not sell any car and he was not about to purchase drugs you know, straying away from the main point, he was murdered.?

?Why do you believe anybody would want your brother dead??
Stacey Martinez
?I have no idea. I am trying to figure that out at the moment. I mean my brother, like I said, he has always worked providing for himself, for our family you know the best way he could.?
Smith was shot multiple of times inside a yard on Faber’s Road. Police say they are still investigating the case, but what they do know is that two young men armed with nine millimetre pistols jumped over the fence and opened fire. Smith received approximately nine shots to his body and died on the spot.
