Story PictureAs they have done dozens of times this year, the police were busy last night securing another Belize City crime scene. The offence: homicide. The location: Yabra. News 5’s Jacqueline Woods reports.

?I just always pray for them, I pray for my two sons every night. And I say I hope that nothing happen to them because I nuh know how I wah tek it, how I wah tek it.?

Jacqueline Woods, Reporting
Fifty-eight year old Angelina Allen is mourning the loss of her son, twenty-eight year old Alberto Saragoza, Jr. who was shot in the head around nine-thirty on Wednesday night. Reports are that Saragoza was in the company of a young woman when he drove his car onto this gravel road by the sea just off Caesar Ridge Road near the Esso oil depot. It is reported that Saragoza got out of his vehicle to relieve himself when he was shot.

?As the policeman tell we, it looks like dah urine he di urine. Because maybe they must see where he di urine or you know, so they say it looks like dah urine he di urine. I think dah two boys they say supposed to come up. And I can?t be one because he strong, he strapping, so if it was one he mi wah fight with ah. But according to how it look, they seh how his hand was this way to the back. So that means that they must hold ah, and just hold ah down and just shot ah inna his head.?

The young woman was left seated inside the vehicle that was parked one hundred yards away from where Saragoza was killed. Lead Investigator and C.I.B. Detective, Corporal Mark August, says they have been receiving assistance from the public to solve the crime.

Corporal Mark August, Detective, C.I.B.
?Well at this time we have one person detained and we are looking for another. We are trying to wrap up this as soon as possible.?

Angelina Allen
?It?s very hard to know you have your son so old, twenty-eight years, and they just take weh his life. It?s very hard for me right now.?

It?s not the first time that Allen has tragically lost a child. In the past ten years she has laid to rest two other sons: Omar and Mark Saragoza. Omar was shot to death, and one year later his brother Mark was knocked down by an ambulance.

Angelina Allen
?Up to now, I still think about the other one. I say, I just have a son just like that, just born ah and just like that they kill a like a dog, gone. And they nevah find ah. So I just hope and pray that they find this killer for my son, because he so cool. The other one was the same thing, he soh cool, he nevah bother puss nor dog. Two good sons that the kill like that, by gun weh never bother nobody. I had one weh give trouble and soh, but he change now. But that one used to give trouble and nothing nevah happen to he. The two coolest one weh always cool and nuh bother, if you no talk to them, they noh talk, and dah the two weh gone like that.?

Jacqueline Woods for News Five.
