Embezzled Treasury Monies Were Meant for TCC Subventions

According to a Police report issued, the money diverted by Enriquez was meant as subventions for the Toledo Community College – two hundred and twenty-five thousand plus dollars diverted in January 2015…and two hundred and twenty-five thousand plus dollars diverted in March 2015. So you would expect that in January the College would have raised the alarm, right? Well they didn’t. In fact, last week News Five called TCC and interestingly, they seemed to not even be aware of the situation. They asked us to send in an official query for information and we did, immediately…but so far, no response.

“Again that’s a point that needs clarification. We have not been speaking to the college itself. We’ve been speaking to the Ministry and the Finance Officers there. And again, the same concerns…it’s a lot of money and how could it have been missed? We’re still awaiting answers on that. But it’s a large amount of money and it’s a puzzle, but I’m awaiting to hear what the response will be.”

As a matter of extreme seriousness, we have been informed by highly-placed sources that the Ministry of Finance is not at all convinced that those few diversions of money discovered are the end of it.
