Security Guard Arraigned for Murder of Patron Inside Blue House Bar

Darion Hamilton

Security Guard Darion Hamilton was slapped with a single charge of murder when he appeared in court today. Hamilton, a guard at the Blue House Bar in Ladyville, was charged for the killing of forty-one year old Wilmer Cisneros. No plea was taken from Hamilton and he was remanded to the Belize Central Prison until July twenty second of this year. Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith ordered that disclosure be provided by July twenty-second and preliminary inquiry is set for August eleventh. Hamilton was represented by attorney Simeon Sampson. Cisneros and colleagues were socializing at the Blue House Bar on Saturday night when two security guards approached him about paying an entrance fee. Cisneros reportedly told the men that when he arrived at the establishment no one was making collection and he was made to understand that he didn’t have to pay because they arrived before nine p.m. that night. A quarrel ensued with the security guards which also involved another man who was a friend of Cisneros, thirty year old Roger Jimenez. It’s alleged that one of the guards pulled out a knife and fatally stabbed Cisneros to the chest and abdomen. Jimenez suffered a cut to the shoulder and a stab to one of his hands.
