Police Seek One Man for OW Murder

Eighteen-year-old Derrick Romero was shot and killed inside his yard by a lone gunman on Wednesday morning.  He was shot multiple times when his attacker got off a bicycle, jumped the fence and entered the premises.  The shooter asked for Romero by name and then proceeded to let loose on his target.  Romero was mortally wounded in the back and neck and despite being rushed to the Northern Regional Hospital; the teenager would succumb to his injuries moments later.  While a motive is unclear, rumors are abound, including speculations of gang involvement.  Orange Walk police are seeking one person for questioning and so far have made no arrests.  Of note is that there has been an increase in gang activity in Orange Walk Town.  No one else was injured during the incident.
