Cops conduct mass roundup in Ladyville
Four days after twenty-year-old Mara Noemi Garcia was found brutally murdered inside the home where she worked as a housekeeper, police have yet to make an arrest. However, on Monday night authorities conducted a special operation in Ladyville where they believe their suspects, perhaps as many as three young men, may reside. As a result, fifteen people have been detained for questioning in the brutal gang rape and killing that occurred Friday in Lord’s Bank Village. Although police are being tight-lipped about specific aspects of the case, lead investigator Senior Superintendent Mario Vernon, told the media that the men left plenty of evidence at the scene. Vernon continues to insist that the crime was committed by petty thieves and is not part of some larger drug-related “message” to Garcia’s employer.
