Two men charged with molesting little boy
Tonight two men from the Belize District are behind bars, charged with sexual offences against a seven-year-old boy. Those men have been identified to News Five as twenty-one year old Alder Ulloa and twenty-five year old Ricardo de Jesus Mendez, both from an area of Ladyville called Japan. According to the child, on May thirty-first, he was sexually molested by both Ulloa and Mendez, who later threatened that if he told his mother what happened they would kill him and his mother. The boy finally informed his mother of the incident on June sixth, who immediately reported the assault to police. As a result of their investigations, authorities immediately arrested and charged the men with aggravated assault and using threatening words. The accused appeared before Chief Magistrate Herbert Lord this morning and pled not guilty to the charges. Despite pleas by attorney Hubert Elrington for bail, Mendez and Ulloa have been remanded to Hattieville Prison until their next court appearance.
