Why is C.E.O. Candelaria Saldivar on Administrative Leave?
News Five has been able to confirm that C.E.O. in the Ministry of Immigration and sister of the Minister of National Security, Candelaria Saldivar, has been placed on administrative leave since last week. Sources tell us that she is on leave while the Office of the Prime Minister finds some other posting for her. Since word surfaced last Friday, News Five has attempted to contact Minister of Immigration Godwin Hulse, who is Saldivar’s boss. He hasn’t answered multiple calls and texts. We’ve also tried to get some clarification from the Minister of the Public Service, but nobody’s talking. We were directed to Carlos Perdomo, the Cabinet Secretary who is in charge of C.E.O.’s, only to be told that he too is on leave. C.E.O. in the Office of the Prime Minister, Audrey Wallace, was not available. As we told you, Candelaria is the sister of senior U.D.P. Minister John Saldivar, which would provide her with a significant level of protection. So the very strong move to get her out of Immigration is interesting…and is certainly cause for raised eyebrows.
