Father charged with incest

A father is behind bars tonight, accused of raping two of his own children. According to court reports, the girls, ages twelve and thirteen, told their mother that on several occasions over the last eight months, their thirty-six year old father had sexual intercourse with them. The twelve-year-old says he had sex with her in September of last year, while the thirteen-year-old says the abuse against her started on January twentieth, with the last incident occurring on April sixth. A doctor has confirmed that the two girls have been carnally known. On Monday, the accused appeared before Chief Magistrate Herbert Lord, charged with two counts of incest. No plea was taken, as the offences are indictable. The father has been remanded to Hattieville prison until June twenty-seventh.
