Police Operation in Corozal Yields Firearms and Ammunition
The Corozal police are reporting various seizures of firearms and live rounds in Carolina Village, Corozal. The operations began this morning at about nine-thirty. In the first instance a black plastic bag was found with a nine millimetre pistol with five live rounds of ammunition. Two hours later, at an abandoned house, they found a point forty-five pistol with an empty magazine. Around two this afternoon, in an open lot in the Halls Layout area of the town, a black plastic bag was found with fifty-six, nine millimetre Aguila Brand Rounds, five-nine millimetre Sellier & Bellot Brand Rounds, three-nine millimetre Luger Brand Rounds, one-nine millimetre WCC Brand Round and one-nine millimetre magazine. Later in the day, an empty lot in the outskirts of Chan Chen Village was searched where a MAK-ninety-AK-forty-seven rifle with magazine was found in a plastic bag. All items were deposited as found property.
