Men charged for home invasion and shooting…
In Friday’s newscast we reported on the burglary at a home on Police Street Extension in which sixteen year old Frank Trapp was shot on his right calf. Today police arrested and charged nineteen year old Ryan Alvarez of Supal Street and twenty-five year old Michael Young of West Canal with Aggravated Burglary, Use of Deadly Means of Harm and Grievous Harm. The incident occurred around nine last Thursday night when Alvarez and Young allegedly went to the home of Pedrina White located on Police Street Extension and used Trapp, her youngest child, as bait to demand money. But before escaping with over three hundred dollars, the duo fired several shots—one which caught Trapp on the calf. And today when Young appeared in court, no plea was taken from him and he was remanded to the Hattieville Prison until August thirteenth.
