Escapee charged after turning himself in
Mark Medina, the murder suspect and shooting victim who gave the cops the slip at the K.H.M.H., finally made it to court today after he turned himself into police. The twenty-one year old resident of Berkeley Street was charged with the offence of escape in the courtroom of Chief Magistrate Herbert Lord. Medina pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody until June twenty-first. Medina had been shot in the leg by police early Sunday morning while attempting to flee. He was wanted for questioning in the murder of Ordel Duncan earlier this month.
