Burglars hit Ladyville school… again
Since opening its doors, the staff and students of Ladyville Technical High have been the victims of numerous break-ins, resulting in thousands of dollars in damage and lost equipment. Over the weekend, the school’s resources were taxed yet again. According to officials, sometime between six on Friday evening and eleven on Sunday morning, a thief or thieves broke into the computer lab and stole four C.P.U.’s, a server, seven keyboards, and a box of computer tools. The value of the missing hardware is estimated at more than eleven thousand dollars. As to how the crooks got in, when police arrived on the scene they found broken padlocks on the ground and the burglar bar door removed from its hinges. Tonight, police investigators continue to search for clues to catch the culprits. They are also reminding the public that buying stolen goods is a crime.
