Diplomats participate in cultural fashion show
And while the children enjoyed their culture day today, last night it was the adults’ turn at the House of Culture/Government House with the second annual “Passion for Fashion” show. Not only were the traditional clothing of the three Maya groups of Belize featured, but Creole, Garifuna, Indian, Chinese, Lebanese, African, and even Mennonite costumes came down the catwalk. And what’s more, members of Belize’s diplomatic community also joined in the fun, modelling their own country’s fashions. News Five was standing by as the ambassadors, their families, and the Belizean models strutted their stuff.

“Passion for Fashion” was made possible through the support of the business community and the National Institute of Culture and History, NICH.
